goddammit Fitz, you made me crave something more substantial than strawberries, now I had to go make some mashed potatoes grrrrr
Sometimes I go to a Mexican restaurant and eat so much chips and salsa that I don't have much room for the meal, and the chips and salsa are always free. Sometimes I eat so much of it I can barely walk out....
I went to Columbus a couple months ago, and had some salsa there. I swear to vishnu it was tomatoes and black pepper. I hope these people are pro-immigration.
I like the baked Tostitos and this really awesome salsa that's made locally that has the usual tomatoes, tomato juice, green peppers, red peppers, banana peppers, jalapeno peppers, and onions, but it also has peaches, apples, and bananas in it. Sounds like an odd combination, but it's fantastic. I was a bit hesitant to give it a try at first, but boy, am I glad I did! It's got a nice kick to it, plus a sweetness. Good stuff!
God, my friends dad used to make habanero salsa. I tried it from the store before and hated it, but the way he made it the intense heat of the habaneros didn't take anything away from the basil tomato paste, roasted onions and garlic, and bell and bannana peppers, with a hint of black peper. I almost wanted to marry the old guy.
