Ok first... Read my original post. This CD is for your friend. You want to let them know what a certin type of music sounds like from various bands. Now you can only use 15 songs because its a challange to pick the ones that would best convey the general sound of your theme... get it?

Can is my favorite band, and I consider it a genre all of its own. So , here are my selections for CAN's TOP FIFTEEN (it would have to be more than one CD, though, because some songs are very long):

    CD ONE:
    1. Sing Swan Song (From Ege Bamyasi) 4:18
    2. I'm Too Leise (From Limited Edition) 5:10
    3. Bel Air (From Future Days) 20:00
    4. Aumgn (From Tago Mago) 17:22
    5. Mother Sky (From Soundtracks) 14:30
    6. She Brings The Rain (From Sountracks) 4:04
    7. Like a New Child (From Rite Time) 7:41
    8. Mushroom (From Tago Mago) 4:08

    TOTAL TIME: 77:13

    CD TWO:
    1. Halleluhwah (From Tago Mago) 18:32
    2. Soup (From Ege Bamyasi) 10:25
    3. Pinch (From Ege Bamyasi) 9:28
    4. Mother Upduff (From Limited Edition) 4:28
    5. Give the Drummer Some (From Rite time) 6:44
    6. Flow Motion (From Flow Motion) 10:23
    7. Half of Heaven at Half Past Eleven (From Seattle by D. Suzuki and M. Karoli) 12:42

    TOTAL TIME: 72:42

And I sure hope my hypothetic friend enjoys this mix as much as I do. I actually burned it and it's loaded in my car's player right now.

By the way - everyone who submitted rock sets, how do you intend to actually mix these songs - it doesn't always work given the way that these songs typically start and end.
