Newness, so much hemp you wouldn't know what to say

Hello, my name is Sharyn(shay) and I'm newish here, haven't took the time to sit and introduce myself like others have before me, so here I am. I'm 17, 5'4" and around 130lbs, my hair is blond, my eyes are blue.
I love to draw and paint, my keen artistic eye is often complimented by others but my main focus when I construct something is to remove what I see from my head and put it on the paper, free from opression. I also enjoy to write and do it quite often. My writings range from poetry to short stories, I've written some longer things in the past, but nothing i'm too proud of...
I'm a very active person and love nature. I would like to also decribe myself as some sort of transcendentalist but I would rather not be compared to Walt Witman. Anyways...
Another one of my favorite pass times is reading, my favorite authors are Hunter S. Thompson, Chuck Palahniuk, Thomas Harris and Shakespeare. I'm a very smart person, or at least that's what i've been led to think. So talking to me may not be a complete waste. I'm very friendly and always looking to meet new people so why not give it a chance?

Totalitarianism



Rip this loneliness from my soul,
Free me from insanity,
Cure me of all my scars,
Take it all away from me.

Leave me far behind,
Forget my lasting presence,
Never mind the footprints,
Rape all adolescence.

Drown me out with all your words,
Oppress all opinion,
Drag me down into nothing,
Make me love your dominion.

Drug me up until I'm blind,
Remove my tongue to cease all sound,
Force me to eat your law,
All uniqueness must be bound.

Conform me to everyone else,
Give me the proper manners,
Turned a robot to fit in,
Underneath your patriotic banners.

Always must we follow,
Forever will we be silent,
Fit to someone’s eye,
Only to avoid all that is violent.
