buying seeds online

so ive decided to try my hand at growing indoors, ive grown weed before but this time i was thinking of trying to get seeds online. i was wondering if anyone had any advice on what sites to use or not use. i have people willing to have seeds sent to there house (as long as its not mine since theyre being grown here) to avoid any extra heat on the house. also, i was wondering what kind of lights i should use.so if anyone can help itd be apreciated.

 

I am in the same spot as u about the seeds...but for lighting how much money can u spend....I use and recommend HID lighting, if u dnt want to spnd the money you can use fluro's. HID lighting will cost you for a nice setup, where fluro's can be bought at a home improvemnet store for cheap. it is all about the size of the room and cost efficiency.

 

125 watt...HAHAHAHA, not to be rude but i need more power and a better sprectrum than that.

 

I have and still do use home depot 170watt HPS in conjuction with my 400watt setup

 

cute little setup that pushes over 500watts....haha, not the biggest but plenty of light for my size room. dont be snobby dude!!! I would wager my HID yield to be ALOT bigger then your fluro yield anyday!!! and on top of that I can use it for MH as well...alot of benefits you could learn if u would take ur head out of ur ass!!!

 

Try typing lowbay lights in ebay. There 400W high pressure sodium lights that are used in industry I picked one up for $60. As for seedbanks I have named a good one many times read back through the threads. i.e seedboutique

 

I am sorry for crowding this thread but........these are either lamp bulbs or fluro's for 5$, there is no premium or bulb that is worth a shit to grow MJ for 5$, if they are compact fluro's they still are inferior to HID's in fact every light out there is inferior to HID when it comes to growing.

Btw...have you heard of HOF lights? (High-Output Fluorescent) These babies are just out on the market and have a far better spectrum for cultivation than any HID. They are more efficient to run, and a little cheaper watt for watt than HIDs.

The yields between the lights are the same - dependent on strain and grower.

When I first mentioned on one forum that I was using fluorescent lights to flower - they all laughed at me. But when I explained what type of fluorescent light, some of the old timers backed me up and confirmed they do produce some tasty bud.

 

The only problem being they don't have the same penetration as HIDs. Best bet is cfls for veg HIDs for flowering. As for kissing Gypsy I'm not interested in politics I just want cheap high quality seeds that turn up quickly which you always get with the seed boutique. Plus there posted from the UK which dosn't look as suspiscious as Holland.

 

Just checked out greensman page it looks OK but very limited choice bit expensive to for standard strains. Theres many seedbanks out there I just found one that has a good variety and is cheap.

Its a big list of all the decent seedbanks on the Internet.

The green mans page has been around longer than Gypsy and used to offer user ratings / feedback on all the Internet seed sites.

 

I must not have studied the site well enough I only saw a few seeds. I have no doubt its a good site. I can only comment on sites I have used though. Living in the UK obviously having seeds posted from thr UK is a better bet for me. The more reliable sites people have to choose from the better.

See...I posted the original green mans page. This seedbank update site is just a rip off.

 

Confused. The seedbank update is not selling anything how can it be a rip off. Its based on many peoples reports of using various seed banks. The seedbank update is a well known and respected site amoungst growers. I personally would keep away from greensmanpage. Why are you recommending a site that is on the bogus list?
Can only assume you have a vested interst in this aparntly bogus site.

 

Dude - the sites I have a vested interest in are the ones I have created my self.

But - I think its interesting that the site seedbank update is ripping off (since greenmans page was on the Internet way before seedbank update) is saying the site is bogus.

That makes me well suss of that site.

Fact is - I think greenmans page is just a good list of all the seed banks on the Interrnet. Its not the only seed bank list on the Internet. Also, why would you even consider buying from greenmans site when you could have stuff from the sites they have in the list?

One last thing:

I would stay well clear of www.seedboutique.com because Gypsy sends seeds to America.
So far - Marc Emery from pot.tv, and RC from Heavens Stairway have been arrested for distributing seeds to America. There fore, many have stated to me to keep as far as possible from seed distributers who sell to America.

Also, if you are in America - you are fucking insane for even thinking of growing ganja with the harsh laws they have over there. Far easier to buy a bag...innit?
