My Mom-
For starters, I look like her. More than most people look like their parents: we look almost exactly alike. It's amazing.

Love of reading (My dad likes to read too, but regardless of what he says, he did not read very much until the last 5 or so years)

General hatred of assholes

Goody-goody attitude (I'm the kind of person whose more likely to take the side of my professor than my classmate. But then again, I've known most of my peers since we were munchkins, and they usually are wrong. Besides, who are you going to side with: The people you're competing with to get into your next school, or the people whose red pens decide what school you can get into. Sucking up? Maybe. Common sense? Definitely)

Sense of humor (different kind than my fathers. My dad's more silly, my mom's more sarcastic)

Taste in music

Enjoyment of History (class)

 

i think i get my shyness and fear of confronting from my father... my big ears and nose, my dimples and my greens eyes music taste tallness fingers all from my dads side


i get additiced easily along with depression dont judge easly and alot of tolerance from my mothers side

my daughter is all her father she is only 1 but she is all her fater she may be tall that she got from me and has my mothers eyes but she is very dutch

 

I get my facial looks from my Dad's side.
I have my Mom's Knees and my Grandmother's hands.
I blame being a gemini for most of my personality.
Except for a couple things. I can be hard headed like my father.
But yet I have a generous heart like my Mother.
She did manage to give me heart problems and high blood pressure. Yay family genes.
I'm creative and like to laugh way to much.
Guess one has to take the good with the bad.

I'm a lot like my dad personality wise.

 

Mum

-The good sense to stick up for ones self no matter how much of a scene you may be making.
-The abbility to make a scene and not care
-Not easily embarressed about anything. (Hey my mum once ran through the parking lot waving a box of tampoms asking if we wanted to go to Wendy's and people were watching)(not that it bothered me but my brother was trying to turn into a puddle of people as he sunk down into the passenger side seat.)
-Stupidly large Breasts
-A witty kind of humour.

Dad

-Almost all of my looks (most people think I'm adopted if they've never seen my dad)
-most of my weird problems such as: jaw locking and getting stuck, extreme leg cramps to the point where I can't walk, partial colour blindness, the need for glasses
-We both get physically sick if we're angry, suffice to say we don't get angry a lot.
-A very scary temper when we are angery.
-the whole "prankster" mentality.

Both

-we find almost everything funny.
-dislike for people who are over all jackasses.
-cutting people up. (no not as in chopping them up into bitty peices)

 

From Dad I got my need to work for what I have but I also got this horribly short temper.

From mom I got my need to make stuff.

 

Well, from my father I got an olive (Middle Eastern) complexion, a hairy body, and a slight tendency to go bald as I get older-also, some of his temper (I certainly wouldn't want all of it). From my mother, I get her slim build.

Physically, almost an exact mix of both parents.

I definitely have my mother's body type, strong build. Or how my aunt might say "Built like a brick shithouse"...But I also have her need for independence and her outgoing-ness. She was also big on just being herself, as am I.

My dad, however, we definitely have the same eyes. But I also have his really dorky sense of humor. Which is strange, because we never had a real relationship with eachother, yet, I find myself laughing at the same things he does and saying some of the same things he does. It's weird.

So yeah... i didnt realise how much i resemble my parents!! (in both attitudes and appearance)

 

Why are you people praising your parents because you got stuck with a few of their genes. That would piss me off to actually count all the traits that got passed down from my parents because most of the traits suck and you wish you never had them.

-rebellious/against the crowd attitude (he used to be a hippie),which he got from my gradfather (he used to be chased by communist police for wearing multicoloured-ring socks over tight pants),which he got from those crazy bastard ancestors of mine who rebelled in transylvania against the habsburgic empire
-tendency to boast(see the above)
-quick temper.we fight dayly about something,untill we both burst into laughter.
-love for poetry/reading
-sarcasm.we both love to piss each other off
-stubornness on the verge of insanity.

I look like both my parents, but behave like and have the mannerisms of my Grandparents. Case of "nature vs. nuture" I guess.
