We should gather for a picnic/party. If we do actually plan this, could we have it in a location that can be reached by TTC, because I don't have a car or funds to take the Go train. Bell-Trinity park would be pretty sweet and I hear there is a drum circle and poi every second Tuesday of every month. That could be cool and wouldn't have any age barriers like meeting at a pub/club/bar. Or even at Dufferin Park, which has more family oriented events. Anyways suggestions are always welcome.
Bell Trinity park is right inbetween Queen and Dundas, 3-5 blocks after Bathurst (if you're heading West from the Yonge/University Subway). The Queen Streetcar is apparently 24hours and Dundas stops at around 1:30 (I think). So it's fairly accessable.
Hey guys... I might be into that.. weekdays are hard though.. work, traffic, etc... but a weekend out there would be easy to do... or... there is always the pre-concert party get together idea.. This summer were doing Trey @ the hummingbird, and Les Claypool @ some other small club... anyone into these? peace soc
I would love to see Trey, but Im mostly likley be in europe when he comes... Oh well... I can most likley make a trek to Trinty Park...
I'd be down, but I'm literally booked all summer, right through till september, then I move to perth, haha shit, life's too crazy hope you folks have a good time though
Sounds great. I'm gonna be in TO from 3rd June to the 10th which means I'll miss the second tuesday But if you're gonna gather before then do let me know..
I will be in TO on the 5th until the 13th of Never, but I hope you all have a great time and take lots of pics! Maybe someday all 3 of us Saskatchewanites will meet up.. haha.
heyhey... i might consider that... I do travel often to toronto.... if you get set dates leave em in here and if ic an make i'll be there
Okay gang... JUNE 13th - Trinity Bellwoods Park. (In between Dundas W and Queen W at Bellwoods). The drummers + poi artists meet in field, its kind of hard to explain, but if you show up between 8 and 10, I'm sure you won't have any difficulty finding the gathering. The guy who runs the gathering asks that people be respectful and use good judgement, because he is paying the city for a permit to have this free event. The drumming has to end at 11. If you have your own drum, bring it! And I'm not sure how long the poi goes on for... Hopefully the weather will be nice.
