  1. For investigative purposes: bullets shot from a handgun bought from a gun store...can they be tracked back to the buyer?

If it were a custom load such as a .475 magnum or some sort of odd type of bullet that is a bit rare then could be an easy process to look for the buyer of said bullets. There is a rumor that when handguns are test fired at the factory the ballistic info from the bullet is recorded to the serial number and supplied to a federal data base. When you purchase the gun then the serial is recorded to your name and if the expended bullet is found and it was used in a crime then they could track it all but again that is a rumor and I have never heard any concrete information about it.

If your looking ot bump somebody best use a shotgun and if you want to really confuse em, go to a place they shoot lots of different guns for target practice ect, dig out a few assorted expended rounds and have them loaded into the shotgun round. Then you will have an assorted caliber shooting, lol

If you buy new handguns you will normally get the casing that had been shot so you can see the indent from the firing pin to see its hit against the primer, can also see if scratching on the shell to see if there is problems with the ramp and ejection. Some also check it for accuracy at the same time and sometimes like Kimber will supply you with a test target too.

Great rifle is a Tikka, they put 3 rounds through a business card at 100yrds with evry rifle and ship the card for you to see.

Easily avoided with a chemical glove product, goes on like lotion and washes clean. Most automotive suppliers sell it, as for the clothes wizard lighter fuel and a match, ashes into the lake, river ect. To simplify the whole issue a hunting accident works wonders, max a couple years. Simple is the key to any plan.

So why are you wanting to bump people off?

  11. so your saying the gun i bought puts an identifier on the bullet when it is shot? can you just scratch the bullet your using?

its probably best to just not buy a gun from a gun store.

The whole idea is rather bad now that you posted your question out here, I mean they will see, ask questions and it would not be good at all.

Another method is an overdose of patassium, it would create a shut down in the body simulate a heart attack, can be traced but if vitamins are left behind can say was using to many. I think there are two ingredients actually that will have simular effects and are vital to our bodies but too much of one and its shut down time. A drug used for people who have lots of siezures (spelling) fenilebarbatil a few of them bad boys and they will be a carrot for life. Looking into nowhere and drooling.

    three steps:

    protect yourself (discussed)

    dispose of clothing (discussed)

Dispose of weapon. Find someone who has a smelting furnace or a forge. And if there's an ironworks near you that's also perfect for disposing of the body too. Dropping a corpse into a crucible of molten iron flash cremates it and leaves no evidence at all.

They are the grooves in the barrel that assist in accuracy, they leave grooves on a bullet as it passes thru and are used as evidence.

Yes very good suggestion there, lots for sale by owner who ask no questions out there, can even buy a hot gun for real cheap and dispose of it.

If you want to do it from a distance then you could make what Remington used to make but was outlawed from production. Take a .30 cal rifle cartridge (good choice is .308) use a .223 sabbot and a Nosler Balistic tip loaded correctly it shall achieve over 4000 feet per second and the sabbot will melt out, the remains of the .223 bullet will have no balistics to match up with and at that speed would turn the brains to liquid.
