The only other people at that Awards Evening that wore suits were the "male" staff. According to the letter I received beforehand about the Evening, it did say dress accordingly, and I was having this discussion with my mum, and she was saying that I should wear a suit. Most people didn't have suits, and therefore came in their usual casual clothes, which is understandable.
Hmmm...I guess I'm the minority. I don't like it very much, and try to wear suits as little as possible.
I love wearing suits. I wish I had an entire wardrobe full of them so I could wear a diferent suit every day of the month. And vests and bowlers. The only downside is how warm a jacket can be.
yeah, i think wearing suits on the occasion is fun. i'm not too big into tuxes, as i just feel kind of cheesy in them, but any other kind of suit is fine. i feel all professional and the like when i wear one.
Yes, wearing a Suit does make me unconfortable. But, then, I'm a Blue Jean and T-Shirt kinda guy. I'm Blue Collar all the way. Don't get me wrong. I've owned Tailor made clothes, that cost a bunch of cash! Give me a pair of Levi's, and a Fruit Of The Loom T anyday!!! I feel more like myself in Jeans and Tee-s.
don't own one... can't remember the last time i wore one... no intention of buying one.... don't think it would make me uncomfortable.... i just don't see the point... I don't judge people on the way they dress... and got no real interest in anyone that would judge me in a likewise fashion *shrug*
I HATE suits with a passion. In the summer its pure torture. How do those guys endure those choking neckties ALL day long?? Thats why I chose a profession where I can dress casual. If I had to wear a suit everyday to make a living, I would go nuts!
I've hardly ever been in a situation where I needed to wear a suit since graduating from high school. It would feel like I was playing dress up.
YOU need fucking help man... so let me give you some free information: There are many people, myself included by the very natture of our jobs who have to where suits every now and then... Read your words fu(ker, and choose them carefully, If I could meet you today in person I would punch you in the throat, and laugh when you couldn't get your oxygen.. Not that I feel the need to tell you shit you lowlife piece of crap who is worth less than that cheese that forms on the bottom of my ballz after a good workout... I WORK for a living I am a fu(king network engineer and I install all of my own equipment, and I have calouses on my hands and feet from carrying the shit, pulling cable... all the shit that entails a full install. So get a life, grow some balls, and before you talk shit about the rest of us who are FORCED to wear suits when in the office, THINK about the BULL$HI+ you are about to spew out of your mouth... Now do the rest of us a favor: Go play on the nearest busy freeway at rush hour, with no identification and use a baseball batt to knock your own teeth out first so your family doesnt know its you, because I know I wont fu(king miss your DUMB A$$.... that way they wont either... In case you missed it I HATE YOU!
Those lifting a thousand bales of hay five, six, seven tiers high on a flat-bed before lunch while soaked in their own sweat can say they WORK! Those carrying hundreds of heavy asphalt roofing bundles every day through-out the hot summer can say they WORK! Those who cut cane with a machete all the humid day all season can say they WORK! Those who stoop over the 'death-fruit' fields from dawn till dusk can say they Work! WORK like this has a dignity whose real definition should never be diminished by including cable pulling network engineers. I sympathize. Submission to the coersions of hierarchical authority is self-castrating, and a homo-erotic impulse of civilized man's latent homo-sexuality. Sexually inadequate civilized man is always shrill in his effeminate frustrations.
So what you are saying is, you hate it that you are none of these workers? You also wish you didnt have to be in court today, wearing your suit and tie? You seriously need to think about everything you wrote... without technology advancement these jobs wouldnt be here, and none of this would matter, you and I would be speaking Japanese or German.. and generally speaking a person doing my kind of working wouldnt be pullint their own cable, but I do... I really dont get you at all.....
Way to over stereotype ass I wear a suit everyday to work. In said suit I often work from 8 AM until Midnight. I carry tables that way 80 lbs long distance, I lift trays of 50 lbs or more. Lifting, pulling, walking, I sweat my ass off and often times come home with blood caked between my toes and blisters on my hands. The physical demands of my job can be immense. So don't just assume that those who wears suits don't know a thing or to about physical labor. and to answer the question, I feel perfectly comfortable in a suit - actually enjoy wearing them
