I want a bottle of whiskey and a bag of pretzels!! ... someone give me a freakin 5th of whiskey now!!!!!!

 

I want to down a large bottle of 80 proof whiskey in the nude! then run down the street swearing my head off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got a theory about Whiskey. Myself I'm very into Irish whiskey - I'll take Scotch at a push. Steer clear of american whiskey though.

But I've made an observation about beer, which has led me to wonder. Guinness seems to taste worse the further it has to travel - it's unrecognisable on the continent, depends on the time of day in England but often very good, and always great in Ireland. Now Jack Daniels gets so much publicity along the "distilled traditionally" idea - and yet it is the poorest excuse for whiskey I have ever tasted. It should be used for watering down Irish whiskey when you've run out of scotch and you've run out of water. However maybe it just doesn't travel well. Maybe it really IS the dogs bollocks over there. What do people think?

 

These pretzels are making me thirsty..hehe sorry a little seinfeld humor there for ya..I am sure you appreciated it, so no problem..heheheAnywhoo whiskey isnt my cup of tea, but if its all i had, I would drink it..

OR RATHER ... TWO 5ths OF WHISKEY AND A JOINT WHILE STANDING NUDE ON TOP OF A SPEEDING CAR AT 3am WHILE SCREAMING "F*** THE MIDDLE CLASS!"

Excuse the cross-atlantic silly question, but what do you mean by 5th? How many shots are there in a 5th? or is it like a 5th of a pint? And is that an American pint (16 flOz) or a proper pint (20 flOz)?

And can I have some?

 

a 5th of a gallon...........we dont drink them pussy pints over here...hehehe...but they do sell them..lol

Lemme just do some sums.

16 fl Oz in a yank pint. x 8 makes 128. divide that by 20 and you get 6.4 pints.

so a fifth of a an american gallon is about 1.28 standard pints.

Right. Yeah, I could live with that

Of course on the continent they drink in half litres, which is I think less than a pint but more than an american pint, so not sure where that fits in.
