blue cakes

  1. when growing mushrooms everything is sterile and the spores are good. what would cause a cake to turn blue inside jar while wating to turn white...but instead of white is blue. could this be because of using to much water... with usually b/w 42-48ccs?

ok i got sometn from the shroomery

*Most contaminants look very different than mushroom mycelium. The color of Psilocybe cubensis mycelium is white, usually a very clean bright white.
Many molds look similar to mycelium at first, but their color changes to different colors in a matter of days depending on the contaminant species, ranging from green, BLUE, yellow and red, over to brown and black.

Lookit! A picture! That is when blue is bad. I hope nobody ate the motherfucker

Sometimes the cakes will turn a blueish color near a group of shrooms, but it does not spread, If it is in the jars, throw them out, they are no good.
