i planted what i thought was morning glories surounding my sunflowers, but they are more sunfloers. i dont want to rip them up as much as id like to cause there so close i know there root bound. and the stems arent as thick as id like them to be. im kinda scared and dissapointed. i would have had a beautiful sunflower row if i was a little more organized

Little mama....so sorry to hear about your mishap....I have some heavenly blue morning glory seeds if you would like some for next year...they are a true blue and just SHINE.

PM me your addy if you would like some.
also...when I plant any really hard seed like morning glories..I soak them in either warm water or a watered down liquid kelp overnight.
This helps them germinate WAY faster.

I am trustworthy as far as addys go...I am a seller on e-bay and have excellent feedback...jackeddycat is my user name there.

that sound so nice of you teepi thank you so much
aww. . . if only it had turned out the way i planned it would have been so beautiful

i had 50 big russain mamouths in a row generously spaced with blue and purple glories on the left and right side of the row and in the middle i had bright red and dark red glories in the middle . . . or so i thought

the sunflowers growning next to the mamouths are the smaller ones and the brown flowers too so im sure it will still be a beautifull site

I'd say thin 'em out. If they're too close together they won't grow much. I had to thin mine this year and didn't like doing so, but the results are turning out to be well worth it. I'd say give them at the very very least 8 inches. The leaves are gonna be big and they grow a pretty big root system. You can also replant them in other areas. Try to leave as much soil around the roots as possible when moving them so that they don't go into too much shock and water them right away after doing so. They'll have about a 50/50 chance of survival
