how do you deal with sunburns? Best way to make them heal faster?

me, I just throw some aloe vera on when I can... soothing, helps healing, but it'd be nice if there was something a little stronger around *shrugs*

vinegar in a bath or tea tree applied direct which stings like a mother and then blessed relief.

And once the initial redness and pain goes away, keep it moisturized to prevent major peeling, or at least keep it somewhat under control.

When it comes to sun protection, hold clothing up to a light. If you can see through it,it won't provide protection.

Solarcaine is a spray with an anasthesiac (sorry for probably wong spelling) which is really good for numbing the pain of sunburn and can also be used for insect bites or nettle rash.

I think they were trying to be smart but just ended up sounding retarded because there are MANY different ways to alleviate sunburn so of course everyone will have a different suggestion. :)

depends on how bad the burn is. it takes a lot for me to burn, but last summer, i got a really bad one. my skin was blistering and so sensitive. i couldnt even handle a shower or bath because the low impact rush of water was TOO MUCH PRESSURE. i basically lived like a vegetable, lathering on aloe vera every 5 seconds and trying not to move.

basically im being of no help to your question because i didnt really do too much to help myself except stay out of the sun and moisturize my skin, but yea, bad burns suck.

the best way to help burns, for me, is to not prgress them- stay out of the sun and just soak up the aloe vera. ;)
