The cat is a bad omen, it pobably means you have an hidden enemy. The dull pen, like all sword and knife like objects, portend an attack. Since this one is dull, chances are that it will not succeed, it is impotent.

You'll have to get other's opinions on the keys, though. I would think that they mean possible answers to an inquiry, that you will not be able to see the trees for the forrest. There seems to be so many possibilities and yet you'll have to try them all one at a time to see what you learn from the experience.

Being locked in your house, where the house symbolises your inner life, may mean that you feel stifled and restrained. You'll probably be given three options to choose from. Which shall you choose?

In general, this is a bad dream. Bad dream can be negated. Please PM if you are interested.

there is no other 'bad' then to cause suffering and harm. period.
calling dreams good or bad rather then enjoying contributes to making them sometimes frightning and unpleasant.

i think that dream may have been trying to tell you something about the real futility of familiar assumptions.

the assumption for example that you needed either a car or the key to drive it, when, in the dream state, when not being repressed by some factor in it, you could have easiliy teleported out of there to any place else you might have wished to be.

simply by focusing you're mind on the view from that location or even wondering what the view from there might look like.

i suppose i could be percieved in telling you this, i am attacking you with a "dull pen" by doing so. and of course i do sometimes appear as a cat or catlike entity.

not one wishing to attack anyone or anything though, other then the real causes of suffering.

If he could "easily" transport out, then chances are that he'll already know the meaning of the dream, he'll already have a plan of defence when the situation occurs in real life, he won't be amazed when it happens, he won't be affected when it happens, and he won't need to dream at all if he has the power to formulate his dreams.

it's not power to formulate. dreamshaping doesn't work that way. at least not for me. but in mine at least, whenever i wonder what the view would be like from some other place the next thing is i find myself there, sometimes, often, without really intending to.

of course you're right. you can't ALWAYS choose even what to think of when you're dreaming. and if real life worked that way a lot of things would be so much simpler. although a lot of others would be a whole lot more, mmmm, interesting, to say the least.

if real life worked the way my dreams do, i would definately never ever get even remotely close to being bored. which i only do when i'm arround other people anyway.

but my main point was not to see dreams as being bad. sometimes you have less control in them, sometimes more. and of course control isn't the word because attempting to force anything only creates a wall against it.

that's why the keys could never be found. precisely BECAUSE of the feeling that he HAD to find them.

and this needle in a haystack way dreams have of making something impossible without creating any more visible or obvious barier to doing so, is the're way of trying to show this to us.
