at about 8 months going natural(no wax, a failed backcombing attempt loosened up, and I just went natural from there). mind you my hair was already very long before letting it dread. i have curly hair so its pretty frizzy-curly especially where the tips haven't locked yet(they really do take the longest time). semi pulled back, showing the bits underneath that are taking longer to matte, hairs also looking much lighter on top, this is all due to the sun back-right angle of my head, loose hairs fluffed al over, also looking kind of flat, i try to round them out when I can, but i dont like doing much maintence, also really light-light browness showing on the most sun exposed parts makeshift hair tie using another dread, also a lot of undreaded hairs
oh man, ur dreads are looking really good!! they look awesome for goin natural and only being 8 months. keep 'em growin' peace~
thanks for the comments. i cant wait until they're 3+ years old, but i will certainly enjoy the journey to that point
didn't mean to make this picture so 'myspace', but upping the brightness showed a more detailed picture
