    Folks,

I am just starting to grow for the first time using the 12 pot Ebb & Flow system in which a pump pumps the solution into 2 gallon buckets filled with Hydroton clay roccks then the pump pumps everything out.

I am not sure how many times per day and at what intervlas I should have the solution pumped into the buckets. Please suggest.

I appreciate the advise in advance.

    Regards,
    marclar

I always like 8 15 minute shots spaced at 3 hour intervals. I have tried other intervals with pretty much the same results. If you're not in a 24 hour lights on mode ( you should be ) water much less in dark periods.

thanks for the tip. I will setup 8 waterings during the 24 hour light period (vegetative) and then should I go down to 3 or so waterings during the flowering?

Also should i water during the light period and no watering at all during dark?

Thanks again for the knowledge sharing.

You are using a 1kw light; 24 hour on periods are basically unnecessary. When you hear about keeping clones or small plants in 24 hour periods for veg, most people are using fluoros. Anything after ~20 is useless to the plant and will waste electricity.

I would not water at all in the dark in E&F; photosynthesis is not really done without light. fishhead's watering intervals are almost standard, some people like to space em 4 hours, to each his own.

...afterall seems that 6 watering spaced 4 hours are the best. Since i transplant the seedlinks into clay pebles in their rockwool cube it tends to keep too much moisture when doing 8 times and the plants started showing signs of overwatering. My first crop turned out to be over 90% male so i cut it down....im yet to get to my first flowering stage with the second crop
