I was wonderin if some people out there could help me out with a few problems im facing... well my marks in school are shitty..... D student.. n I smoke weed and smoke. and im worryed about were my life is going and waht direction im moving towards. Id love to do somthing that had to do with my love of music and awesome communication and love of people, but the way my "acedemics" are going I dont even think I got a chance in doing anything perductive with my life....
waste a couple years and apply as a mature student i believe its 21 or sometimes just 20 grades dont matter then and go for something you wnat to do or do some research and you might find where you want to go only needs a good mark in english
do people have no will anymore? man it up and study. quit smoking weed if it bothers you. there is no reason you can't get good grades.
realising the problem is the first big step to sorting it. just get your head down into the books. if you really want to succeed you will put the effort into it. I've know of people leaving school with 3 0-levels and ending up bajjilionaires (yes thats a word )
Save the somking for after studies, don't get high befor school or when your studing... when your done with your work, then you can sit back and enjoy a good smoke. Put your MIND into it. Become the subject your studing. Learn it inside out and watch the teacher dance to your tune. If you need help understanding what you read get a tutor to help you comprehend. I have always found that, if you work at something you really want and work hard, you will achieve it. A D student can come up to a C+ in a matter of weeks if you apply yourself. If you want to sit ands whine about NOT being able to do something, then you'll never be more then what you are now.. grow.. Stop thinking in a childs mind. Open up and see the wonder of learning. I used to be like you for a time, I mean not liking what they were teaching me and not being able to learn it bc I blocked it from being retained, keeping room for the important stuff. I left school at 15. I had been in 'Private schools and dentention schools for two yrs.. They were trying to fit a round hippie into a square's hole. It didn't work. I was destine to travel a road less paved. It was my higher self beconning me to become what I had come to be. I began to study what interested me, what captured my mind and invigorate my spirit. I could not absorb what conventional education had to offer.. I was somehow above it. Not below it. I studied on my own and became fluent in the subject, then I went back to 'school' and got my deploma when I was 40 and went from there and got several Cretificates in Natural Healing, which was my calling. Listen to what your heart wants and take it from there, go where your interest lays and develope it into an art. There is a market for virtually any and everything on this earth, you just have to find your nitch and improve on it. Let your dreams take you. Brightest Blessings on your journey little brother, there is more out there then you can see from your computer, get out and experience them, it will broaden your horizones and help you learn and grow. sh
I'm going to combine spooner and Mr. 68's post for mine: (hope you guys don't mind) "Man Up"-hit the books, and gain knowledge from school. Don't worry about gaining acceptance, because real friends are gonna like you cool or not. Like it was said, the grades will come....
Don't worry about grades. If you do that you'll end up learning how to memorize and nothing else. Americas education sysrem is really a factory. Cram as much as you can into a students head as fast as humanly possible and then spit them out into the world. Just concentrate on understanding the material and whatever pace you need. Then after a job well done, hit it up with the good stuff.
