Just where is everybody.?

OK, now and then I pop into the UK forums here, but when I
first joined this section used to be ultra busy, day and night.
Every single day there would be loads of new stuff posted or
many people replying to threads and taking part but over the
past half a year or so many members have vanished. Where
has everybody gone or am I right in thinking that many have
been booted off the forums for one reason or another. (sigh)
It's strange stuff indeed compared to how this UK section used
to be so busy and active based on the overall hit count and
when I first joined there were always loads of members here.

Who's the moderator here.? Have you any answers to this.!
Is it a case of all these members being banned or booted off,
as you can't deny that the UK section used to very busy once.

 

there is no mod... most people went of their own accord or was banned becuase of an unspeakable about reason... and of the few that werent banned not many of us are here... this place will rebuild in time as more people join and stuff, just now its having a sleepy

understanding one or two things now. Hmmmm

I just wrote a whole load of stuff here about things but I deleted it all.
Why, because either the thread would be locked after a comment or
my username would be banned or I've even witnessed peoples names
get completely killed altogether so I abstained.

 

I know what you mean it's quiet. Why were people kicked off? Is it out of bounds to talk about that?
I guess it's summer, there's lots of tree hugging fun to be had, and festivals. I love getting out in the country.

A lot of people were kicked off for jumping ship to 'the other place'. I haven't posted here since I was booted from modding for allowing people to post about the other forum. But I felt a few people out of the loop might deserve an explanation of why this place has fallen to bits. Still, it's not beyond repair, if people wanted to get back into it and rebuild, then I'm sure it can happen.

Officially the line was that it was spamming, but I think people can read between the lines. It's a shame, I really did enjoy posting here. I still prefer our little corner Hipforums to UK Hippy, much smaller, much closer. I hope it can get itself back on its feet again.

 

Looks like hip forums are going against what it is supposed to represent and all that is associated with the life style we fight hard to protect, support and live. We are 1 people 1 planet but hip forums seam to want 1 people 1 web site. WE FIGHT FOR OUR FREEDOMS YET THP HAS ENTERED DICTATORSHIP AND REPRESSION. In our lives we are aiming for the same goal.the web sites should do the same but for some reason they are not and hip forums booting shows this

On the topic of censorship, it does seem people are getting chucked off on a fairly arbitrary basis, for saying stuff the moderators don't like. Lot's of peeps cutn'paste loads, and put in links to other sites, and get away with it, others say the wrong thing and get the boot for it.
It does seem very undemocratic.
Why can't we swap information about which other websites are good? anyone been given a reason?

arguments rather than discussion - I just wondered what you thought of it?
Of course - hip forums is the best in the world and theres no denying that

well i used to live in north birmingham, on a wierd border with great barr, perry barr, sandwell and park hall, officially i live in park hall.
but i am currently at university, so i do not get to see much of birmingham anymore, i do miss it now and again, met many friends for life there

 

Looks like us Brits have heard the call, this section is starting to pick up, finally.

 

I'm considering starting posting here again properly, I miss this place.

 

I ended up coming here quite alot,cos of doing night security shifts - e.g. in an office - all night - and theres alot of people to chat to while most people around here are asleep - or as is popular in and around Windermere - getting drunk!

 

I left about 2-3 years ago of my own accord. NOW I'M BACK BABY!!!
I admit i used to be sneaky and pop in now and againto see how things were going and I must agree with mr NEMISIS that it has grown rather tame of late. These forums used to be a hotbed of discussion and intrigue. Who here remembers cheese whizz?
A recruitment drive is in order. It may be a little early bit whos goint to the greenest of belts this year?
