..........however the good thing about him being in office, his poll ratings are so low, hopefully the Dems (lesser of two evils) will gain control of both the house and the senate at mid term elections...........which may very well be the beginning of the end for the republican party

you took the words right out of my mouth. but war loving dubya and his daddy still have a lot of power and money. and can use that to influence lots of people. the democrats are the lesser of two evils for sure. so i'd like to see them gain back some of the control. but we still might wind up with another republican in office. i'm hoping more democrats will vote during the next election. because apathy is a big part of how somebody like bush has managed to make it into the white house twice. *shudders*

Duck--I agree with you completely except for one thing. Yes they are both evil, but Republicans are "ambitious evil" democrats rarely get anything accomplished, simply put i'd rather have nothing happen at all than more of whats been happening, lol.

Jenny- you are absolutely correct, apathy has played a major part in deciding our politics since the late 80's~however, that is mostly to blame on the fact that all of the major media outlets are controlled by the Republicans, Michael Eisner (abc), Rupert Murdoch (FOX~the most horrible), Ted Turner, and yes Bill Gates, they specifically construct non-confrontational, idiotic programming and news for the purpose of distracting and further desensitizing the masses, look at how much television the average amerikan watches, how can they not be affected by this strategy?? Couple that with our carefully P.C. crafted school curriculums, commercialization of an INSANE amount of competitive sports (most per capita in the world), junk food, and countless other variables, and they have created an almost infallible system of mind control. Keeping people busy so they don't question anything, distraction is evil's best friend.
