A vapo releases THC from the bud and heats it up to the point of activation without burning the other tars and shit in the bud. That is why you get a way different buzz from a vapo, you are avoiding the heady feeling you get from the tars and shit, the tars and shit that cause the "cigarette buzz" feeling for a few minutes after smoking.
