Are you asking who we expect to see become president, or who we want to see become president. I clicked on Hillary in the poll because I find her more appealing than the other alternatives. However, I think there are too many people who are so against her thta she's not the most likely person to win. I think that McCain has a better shot at the moment. Dick Cheney hasn't got a real shot. Otherwise, it's more likely to be someone we haven't heard much from yet. It could be someone whose campaign will catch fire at the right time.
this is old crap. judaism, christerism and islam are all the same thing. what we need are budhism, baha'i, native american and philosophical daoism. and "a gay pokemon" couldn't possibly do worse then what we've had. the odds of getting anything that isn't crap in what that office has become, are pretty darn long. a street person, chosen by lottery, would have to work at it to do worse. what we may get, and let us prey not, is one of the real puppet masters emerging from behind the curtian of smoke and mirrors from which they've been running things. that would mean someone like rumsfield or rove. what the'll probably give us, is one of the same kind of puppets, only dressed in semi-liberal clothing, as there is finaly a bit of raising weariness of those dressed in draconic uber alis garb. until our core values as a culture grow up a little more, we will in all likely hood continue to get what is consistent with their current sleaziness and corruption. which is not to say they can't or won't chainge. we did get kennidy once upon a time, a catholic, when no one thought anything but a protestant was electable. all this of course, presupposes that will even be allowed the pretense of an election. what hitler pulled, IS frighteningly possibe in the current climate, there is, as has been pointed out, no line the current hunta has proven averse to crossing. what happens then is unclear. let us hope we are actualy allowed to have a real election. even a sham one to keep us pacified is better then what could happen and of course, at least a good bit more likely. yes what i expect, is that well get another sham election that will give us another puppet of the corporatocracy. possibly, hopefully, dressed in somewhat more liberal clothing. that is as much as i am honestly expecting. it would be nice if it was a woman for once, and a noneverything that we've already had. =^^= .../\...
hell yea... i was just talkin about how he seemed like he'd make a good president.. and a likeable one at that
Id say Jeb Bush so we at least see the corruption straight up, and the military coup the Republicans have put on this country. Id like to see a Black president before theres a woman. This aint no damn matriarchal society nyeaaah. We gotta remember whos in charge!
A woman can't be president. None of the more conservative countries would respect us. . . unless she could be a dictator. Muahahaaaaa. . .
do you know that lady who goes on montel? go to her website and there is predictions of the future world, www.sylvia.org or something
Republican or Democrat all politicians are only interested in the same thing... money and power. The Republicians are for big business. Democrats are for big governmemt. Yhat's why I haven't voted since '72. I just refuse to play their power grab game. By the way... all wee need is another Texas/Arkansas moron.
I could be wrong but thought the wording was a preson could only be president for 2 consecutive terms, but could skip a term and run again. I could be way way off base there but in the haze of an old speach and debate class I thought we touched the subject. Hell I have slept alot, drove alot, smoked alot, drank alot since the 80's
wording is all well and good but constitutions can be suspended, they after all words on paper and it is up to flesh and blood humans to make them real, and when they don't they don't. reality is, however powerful and well intended a document the u.s. constitution might be, in all but word and pretention it has been suspended by every so called conservative ever elected to that office. and even one or two openly nonconservatives. guy named teddy rosevelt once upon a time got himself elected on his own one shot political party. and he did serve for more then two terms too. i don't mean that to applaud his doing so. only to point out that such things can happen. then there was that guy that called himself hitler, over in germany, back in the late 30s, remember him? germany DID have a constitution before he took power, actualy ran and got voted in or something like with bush. then openly trashed it. the bushies aren't being that open about it yet. they still pretend to pay lip service to our having a constitution. but don't kid yourself. they don't give a rats ass about it. not any more then they think they can get away with. and there's damd little they haven't gotten away with so far. although some of that, may be, hopefully, starting to catch up with them. =^^= .../\...
