Right I need some suggestions, I've recently had a bit of a revelation with my life and want to sort things out. Getting tired of myself for not really doing much but sitting and thinking!

So my plans are to just 'do' more things! The only problem is I'm not the best at coming up with ideas :/.

I'm in uni in Sheff at the moment so I don't have much in the way of activities around, got barely any cash and can't drive - but I'm determined to get things going.

    - Starting to read about anything that slightly interests me on the net, from string theory to making good pies.
    - Determined to learn to juggle over summer.
    - Gonna learn some music production programme asap over summer also.
    - Want to learn an instrument but not sure which one, always liked slap-bass but it's not the best for when I just want to chill out and play something relaxing so possibly normal guitar.. meh.
    - Want to learn some sort of physical control like a martial art but £0 and not sure which would be good to go for :/

Anyone else got some suggestions for shit that'll keep me busy?

    Thanks!

You have answered your own questions!!!

Basically you want to have more fun and experiences but are skint and havent got much time so learning things is the best.
If you wanna learn an instrument go for a interesting one, have a look around your area for festivals or gatheirngs to go to - there should be a few free ones - but you have to look. If you cant find free ones look for a gathering where they need crew and become a steward for a bit - like a few days. Thats always fun, you said where your from but I have no idea where that is
Learn poi thats always a interesting thing to learn/talk about
    Get your hair dredded
Ahh I dunno - what was the original question!!

haha, its not really the most active board is it?
ermm okay i will try for some suggestions, unfortunately it kinda sucks with no money, because that rules out travelling, unless like me your willing to go into huge amounts of debt in your overdraft and go see the world.

the best suggestion with no money, is just stay where you are, spend as much time as possible with the people you love and make the most of the sun, go out, try activities, play games, stay up all night.... just live the dream, join a politically active group, go to demonstations, volunteer
    :)

Well a hidden objective of this post was to get this forum a bit more lively!

'Need t' big up the UK massive innit bled yo!'

Poi is something I was interested in earlier this year, GOOD SUGGESTION!
Dreads, I came close, spent about 8 months growing hair after having it less than an inch long for 20 years, had to get it cut for a job interview but it's back on the grow again. Wanted em sinse I was a wee nipper and WILL have them, despite a number of people saying they wouldn't suit me :(

I'm thinking a language to learn would be cool also.. hmmm, maybe too many things at once is a bit, niave, one step at a time :)

How about planting some veg? Small initial investment: Grow bags £1ish, bucket £1ish(drill holes) seeds spinach, rocket, sorrel, and sugarsnap peas £5. don't forget corriander.
Will yield loads of fun and natural foods, get em planted this week, before end of may.
I've been doing that today. Good clean muddy fun, aint nature wonderful?

Why dont you twiddle your thumbs while doing nothing that way you wont be so bored
another suggestion would be to go out with other people who havent got much money.
some anarchist friends of mine go absailing down buildings when they are fed up but
only so they can unfurl protest banners
I dunno - theres tons of things - how about organising a protest at the fact the mastermind behind the london bombings, Aswat, was a MI6 double agent

That's interesting Phibes. I went to a film night, they showed one which contained an interview with a guy from a disaster management consultancy who'd been hired to do a dry run of a projected scenarioin which bombs went off in exactly the places, where bombs did go off. The exercise was being done on the 7th of July, he said:- imagine my surprise when we discovered it was all for real, when he was interviewed on the day, subsequently he would give no more interviews on the topic. Fishy, as is the way they just happened to find the culprit's charred passports on the scene of the crime and within 24hrs, they had names of all the suposed bombers. We've had alot of experience of terrorism in this country and seldom found the culprits so fast.
Where can i read more about Aswat and MI6?
