No one likes to be spied upon. Why wait for the class action lawsuit? Switch your phone and wireless service from ATT and Verizon if you haven't already to a company that won't give the NSA your phone records. If they'll do that, you know they'll let them listen in and read your personal shit.

They're not listening in and reading your personal shit, they simply catalogue the calls - incoming and outgoing. It's not like the NSA is listening to billions of phone calls year after year, they're simply after suspicious things.

The American government has many other things like this; ECHELON, CFA run by the DoD, etc.

get radical and DROP your phone service, period. Who needs it? And why?

    use public pay phones

    use emails

use public access computers at libraries if you don't have access from home

write letters and use snail mail

save yourself $$ without the phone bill

They can probably track you through cable too, dont do anything wrong and you probably wont have anything to worry about. If you have the internet, trust me they have ways to track it.

Not to mention that they are the two biggest supporters of the Cope Act.

Although these are current topics of great interest this sort of thing has been going on throughout the news media, military and government since it's inception. The thing is back then it was a lot smaller and people actually had a better grasp on brotherhood. However people lost jobs, livlihoods and families, were arrested, faced persecution of criminal charges without proper jury or representation just as they are now. It seems hopeless at times but the grassroots movement always wins out in the end. You can take away all these tools that are at our priveledge of conveniece and censor us at will but you will never quiet the whisper that turns into the roaring demands of millions upon millions. That has been and will always be, definately around a lot longer than our ability to transmit our voices throughout the world at just a click of a button.
