but 3 days with tom petty, friends, drugs, and other amazing artists for three days does..fuck the sun
Lineup sucks too hard for me to even consider going (can't anyway, busy)... and it's all downhill from here with MTV running it. (At least they had Jim Bruer and the Allmans, etc. there last year) Tennessee sun is nothing. Try breaking down in Gainesville, Florida in July.
They aren't... it was just after that whole "MTV runs bonnaroo" thing that people mixed up, that I was getting at. Superfly productions runs Bonnaroo. (The same people who run Vegoose; they also do a major part at Jazz Fest and are based in NOLA)
Yes... I have two jobs (though I'm not working right now, due to a broken ankle), plus I have school every day. Most of the time when I'm on here, I'm on the computer doing something else as it is and am jumping back and forth. Right now I have to finish up a seven page outline on a research paper... So, back to the roo, I reckon.
Yeah... prepare to not have showers, see people dancing all over the place on any number of psychdelic drugs, may have someone die like last year again, and if it rains, it's going to get a little messy. There was something about people throwing shit (literally) into tents a year ago. Not only that, but people always seem to bitch about the dave matthews band fans. Carry plenty of water and make sure you find a place to get out of the sun every now and then, so hit up the comedy tents or something...
dave mathews isnt going this year and im used to going places places with no showers..ill think ill adjust just fine. do you live near there?
I really wanna go to Roo this year, but the tickets are so damn expensive. I think this year i'm just gonna go to a couple smaller festivals and save myself the money. I really wanna hit up smilefest this year, maybe even the gathering of the vibes. We'll see.
High Sierra, 10,000 Lakes, Smilefest... moe. down... Those are what I'd hit up if I was going to fests. I'd avoid the roo. Though, my personal favorite is Haymaker... Fredericksburg, Virginia If only it happened this year. Keller and the Keels...
