So I went to the John Mayor concert 2nite. I went thinking, well its beautiful out and hey at least I'll be out of the house with a good friend. Can I tell you he fucking rocked out. He was totally amazing. He covered 2 Jimi Hendrix songs and a Marvin Gay song. He was amazing, and now I totally have to give him props. I recommend listening to anything thats live of his. The more recent the better. I guess it was one of those things where u went to a concert, no expectations...and then ur pleasantly suprised. Thumbs up to John, u put on a gr-8 show!

I have to say I'm quite surprised he covered two Hendrix songs. How did he do on the solos?

I'd rather bury my head in sand than listen to that crap.

Hey hey hey now. Did u even read what I posted? I had kind of written it off until now too. I'm intrigued now, I think he will pull some better stuff 2gether in the future, and stop all his bubble gum pop ways.

I don't think he's too bad. He's been pigeon-holed. He's not great, but there's alot worse you could be listen to. As guitar playing goes lucifer, if you've heard him really play, he's more than capable of covering a hendrix song.

I was NOT a fan of John Mayer til I saw him @ the Crossroads Festival. He got onstage with Eric Clapton, Jimmy Vaughn, B.B. King, and Bo Diddley and rocked. He not only kept up with him he also played a few solos by himself.

Eric Clapton said " I invited all my favorite guitarists to this show and they all came." He obviously knew the boy could play, because all I had heard was that top 40 stuff that I hated.

I know his ability well and saw him in atlanta once at a one of my dad's friend's private guitar jams. He's damn good... people don't give him credit. Although I must say his phone sex addiction is kind of creepy.
