Another Mama's Day...

I love this holiday. It's up there with Mardi Gras and the like.

What are ya'll doing for yo' mammas?

Her gift was a ladder-shelf from Pottery Barn. This morning, cooked her banana french bread from a challah loaf, and got her a few Sundancy films. Went to the nursery and got some daisies and Irises. And tomorrow we got reservations at the Spouter for breakfast. Which is silly, because they don't even give reservations. We just get a special table because the owners dig us.

And then my dad leaves out of town Monday, so I think I'm perty set with this whole happy thang. :H

I used to make her breakfast in bed and get her little gifts for both british and american mothers day

I miss my mommy

 

I'm gonna avoid her at all costs because she wants to disown me

 

I don't even know if she'll be back from Québec City tommorow morning
I hope so ..

Cooking shrimp, went for a ride on the colonial parkway, cleaned... etc. lotsa little things I did already today.

 

I bought my mom a big comfy night gown and cleaned the house today. Tomorrow I'm making her breakfast and giving her a picture I drew of her and her brothers and sisters when they were little.

 

I don't know... I was just going to give her a call, I guess. I was going to send a card earlier in the week, but I totally forgot. Whoops.

haha great idea!! i´m going to put a lot of efforts in mothersday this year to show i´m a responsible fella, so they will leave me alone more often.

my siter missed mothersday this year, shame on her!!! hahaha

 

i have this weird thing
where i feel weird when i act sweet and sentimental towards my family
yeah..it sucks =/
mothers day makes me feel kinda awkward and weird
but i stuck it out
AND i got her a sewing machine..

 

i feel kinda bad ... my mom left somewhere yesterday morning, shes coming back this afternoon, but i got work from 2-6 PM. then i go somewhere, so mother's day is pretty much in teh gutters

 

there's no such thing here.

Um, I hate to be the downer on this thread but my Mothers Day plans will be taking a 45 minute drive to put some flowers on her grave. While I'm there , I will put some on my dads and sisters too. But yeah , Mothers Day weekend isnt one of my favorite of the year. It ranks right up there with Christmas for me. Not that I hate Christmas because I acually love Xmas time it just personally kinda sucks.
But hey, I have the best friends a person could hope for and they are going along today.
