Powerful New Film Expertly Exposes Phony Drug War & Police State It is in animated form but still true to real life attributes. May be an interesting movie to go see when it comes out sometime in July. http://wip.warnerbros.com/ascannerdarkly/ http://jonesreport.com/articles/280406_scanner_darkly_review.html
This movie looks like it would be good. I liked Waking Life and this seems to have a more defined rotoscoping technique.
This film will either be really amazing or it will completely suck. I don't see a lot of wiggle room for this particular movie.
Hey, 's based on a PDK story, so it's gotta be good. Most authors don't translate well into film, but just go through the stories, Blade Runner, Lathe of Heaven, Minority Report, even Paycheck was pretty good.
I've seen it... I think it had a little overuse of the rotoscoping...I think they could have not used it in certain times to make it a little easier to follow. And I don't think they really expressed the PANDEMIC side of how the drug effects society...which I think they should have/could have. Otherwise, it was very pleasing to the eye...and as much as I really don't like Keanu, he didn't bother me too much. Woody Harrelson and Robert Downey Jr. were pretty hilarious, I must say.
