why is it fucking a? what does the a mean?

i guess eh wouldn't mean a helluvalot more in the same place (especially with the way its said), but i'm just wondering...

When I first came to Canada, I did notice the "eh" right off. Alot of people say "eh" and do not even realize they are doing it. Even the ones that insist they never say it. I guess, it would be much more noticable to an individual that was not used to the expression, than to bunch of folks who never think about the word, when they do hear it. I don't even notice it anymore, as it is a common expression I am now used to and no longer think about it anymore.

People rub off on each other when they socialize on a regular basis. I know that 9 years ago... my wife got in the habit of saying "huh" when she met me. Alot of Canadian friends would point out that I used to say "huh" as much as a Canadian would say "eh". My little guy says "huh" and not "eh". I am around him 24/7 where as my wife works. If it were the other way around, I would think he might be saying "eh" instead.

The aboot stuff.... have not heard it yet.

in wisconsin the accents are very similar, even in some parts of maine and vermont

though the further south you go,
the slower they talk...
