Alright so today after school, me and my friend Kaya are going to sign up to be hair "models" and get our hair done for free... I want a chelsea ( shaved except for bangs) and I'm trying to convince her to get the opposit...which i think would look histerical...especially when we're walking down the street togther... anways here's my question.. what is your take on wierd haircuts such as the "Chelsea"... ugly? funky? funny?
my cousin did that and looked pretty cool...she wore a hat a lot with it I think...it looks really awesome when its growing back in though

Zpiper I guess you've probably already been shorn by this time so what I'm saying is probably no longer relevant. It's really brave to be shaven, and I personally wouldn't want it, but I've seen some cool crazy cuts around, especially in the student community, and can't help admiring them. I think you have to be a certain kind of person to do it anyway. The most I've ever done is shave from the top of the ear upwards a little (like a less extreme mohican/mohawk), and a tiny bit at my centre parting (Peter Gabriel style) ... (not both at the same time though!). I was 14 at the time of the ear/side shaving and my dad went ballistic over it! I'm into growing rather than shaving now, but I can see the attraction, easy low maintenance, fun and keeps your head cool in summer, etc. There are computer programs available whereby you can upload a photo of yourself, I guess it would be best to tie or slick back hair in this photo, then you can use the software to try out different styles and see which ones look right with your facial shape, eyes, ears, etc. I believe some hair salons use this kind of software. It's probably cool for checking out which colours suit a person as well as cuts. Sorry I don't have any links right now.
