I'm graduating soon and I need advise regarding my hair. My locs are long so I suppose I could do many things, but it needs to fit with the graduation cap, please help me. I'd like to put in some flowers but I know they wont last all day.
you could probably use bobby pins to keep thecap in place (or even safety pins). And if you can get some lavender and straw flowers, they would last all day for you (just take the leaves off,but the flowers would last).
You could do 2 buns a the nape of your neck (if you have alot of hair like I do one bun isn't even worth trying for) and wrap flowers around it.
I'm in the same boat as you. I'm thinking about just pinning it on. My dreads are not very long tho...they are medium-length.
Hahaha...good luck with that. I graduated last May and I spent the whole night before just trying to get the damn cap to stay on my head...lol. I eventually ended up just using hair clips to attach the sides of the cap to a few dreads. It was a pain in the ass...lol. Good luck. I wish I could be more helpful. I wish they'd make graduation caps in a bigger size! haha.
Well actually I am graduating in Finland so the cap looks different. Bigger sizes are also available. Thank you all for trying to help me.
Oh, cool. I didn't know that. In that case, you can do a lot more than I could've. Maybe you can even braid your dreads on either side and have 2 braids hanging down. You can even weave some sort of pretty ribbon or something throughout the braids to add some funky color.
My graduation is next week and I am getting somewhat desperat. Please reply. Not many things seem to work hence the cap is quite tight.
so i graduated and the damn hat wouldn't stay on. It actually fell off when I went up to get my diaploma..lol..I attached the tassle to my dreads instead, but the mom yelled at me. I only graduated from community college, so i didn't know what the big deal was...
maybe go for the princess leia look but do the buns low enuff to fit the cap on............................ It would work with a few pins or clips
Yes, It looks cute with the cap, but we're supposed to walk up there without a cap and it doesn't look very good, because I have to put them very low, or else the cap won't fit!
