Hehe, well, I've never tripped, but I think I would listen to this stuff if I ever did:

Pink Floyd - The Piper at the Gates of Dawn
Pink Floyd - A Saucerful of Secrets
Syd Barrett - The Madcap Laughs
    Syd Barrett - Barrett
The 13th Floor Elevators - The Psychedelic Sounds of...
The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour
The Rolling Stones - Their Satanic Majesties Request
Arthur Brown - The Crazy World of Arthur Brown
The Who - The Who Sell Out
    Glass Harp - Glass Harp
    Jefferson Airplane - Surrealistic Pillow

    And just about anything psychedelic...

Thier Satanic Magesties Request is not a good album, It has a couple good songs, but is far from good. I'd recommend the Beachwood Sparks, Gram Parsons, and The Grateful Dead. All cosmic american music.

Heh, let me guess, you're a big Stones fan?

You see, typically, a big Rolling Stones fan thinks that Their Satanic Majesties Request is the Stones worst album while big fans of psychedelia, like myself, find it to be their favorite Stones album.

I find most of the songs on Their Satanic Majesties Request to be really great. I would actually call it one of my favorite psychedelic albums. "Citadel" is really good, "In Another Land" is quite trippy, "She's a Rainbow" is pop/psych genius, and "2000 Light Years From Home" is always good.

Different strokes for different folks, ya know? ;)

Hunh, really... I always heard Satanic Majesties Request was a pale imitation of Sgt. Pepper (though "She's A Rainbow" is good), and from the psychedelic fan's view, the Stones were just plain bad at making trippy music.

Meh, well, maybe I'm an oddball, but I like it. I don't even really like The Rolling Stones, but I really like this album. I don't know, I guess I'm just a freak. :p

You gotta think i am comparing it to other Stones work like Exile on Main Street, which really isnt even a comparsion. 2000 light years from home is dam good. I always though Brian did his best work on TSMR, i wonder if Exile could have occured if he was still alive.

I went to Bonnaroo and ate some mad mushrooms and I must admit that The String Cheese Incident is fucking awesome to trip out to. I also really liked Wish You were here by Floyd
