YAY I hope it is - you must be going mad lol Good luck for when you do finally go into labour - and just think soon it will be over and you will have a lovely baby xxx
Lay down. If your water broke, it should seep out. When you are upright, the babe acts as a cork of sorts. I was soooo ready to be in labor with Maddie (Virginia was a nice 5 week early surprise) until the last minute. Then, when I knew it was time, I was wanting to stay pregnant forever! I was terrified of actually having her. Not the labor, but the baby part! Good luck, hun. It's getting close!
Sounds like you're getting close! I'll be near the computer all day anyway, can't wait to hear back later... Happy baby vibes!!!
it looks like we might be seeing some progress i was gunna say what sugrmag did about the fluid leaking out when you lay down. i'd personally tell brian to go to work and if it is the real thing then just call him back. it would suck if he used up any more of his days. good luck
I hope this is it. Girl. I am runnin outta candles here. (Just teasing, I must have been in false labor 25 times the last month with my first baby.) She will come. Talk to her, tell her you are ready, that you have a nice, happy home, nice warm arms, and beautiful, milk filled breasts for her, and her daddy can't wait to see her and hug her and love her. Some babies need to be told it is OK to come out. Blessings, honey. I wish I was there.
aawww.. soon! soon! tell her we're all looking forward to meeting her in august.. no need to be shy ~happy labor baby vibes~
She has to come NOW (or tomorrow), because Friday she would share a birthday with Keith and I wouldn't want to wish that on anybody- hahha!
oh man i keep checking the thread to see if you've had her yet, and no such luck! i reallllllly hope she comes soon while your momma is there.
Still got my fingers crossed for you, and have been praying that she makes her appearance while your mom is still there! I was a first baby too... 6 weeks late, and still only 6#10oz. Some babies really like to take their time. But it sounds to me, like your water broke... which means you're probably snuggling up to that adorable baby girl even as I type this! Hope everything's okay. love, mom
Surely, since you haven't posted since this am, it means you are in the hospital, right? *wink wink* right?
Sadly, no....I've been showing my mom around the city, trying to walk through contractions and such. I don't think my water broke. I just really can't tell as I normally am very leaky and trickle-y down there...*sigh* Midwife is still not concerned. More than anything, my back is just killing me. More than feeling contractions or anything else. It's hard to walk up a flight of stairs or get in and out of my car. Just killer. But...castor oil again, maybe....*sigh* This kid is soooo stubborn.
You're doing great, Holly! Try to stay hydrated and nap when you feel tired. Did you take castor oil already? How dilated are you? it won't work unless your cervix is already opening up. Back hurts, huh? Hmmmmmmmm..........
Last time I was checked, I was 3 cm dialated and 90% effaced. But castor oil has kept the contractions going. I was up all night with the diarrhea (I took the castor oil earlier in the evening, and it didn't kick in until 10.30 pm, dammit).... But the baby just keeps balling up into my right side, and when she does that, the contractions stop. So far, I've tried walking walking walking, sex and orgasm, castor oil...She's just not ready, but my body seems to be....*cries*
