I must agree with you. I have this book and I've already read it two times. It's suprisingly funny. I'm a fan of the movie as well.

I think I've read it eight times. It means so much more when you're a diagnosed borderline and have been in a psychiatric ward. It's an extension of many things I went through and many people I've met.

The movie's awesome. The characters are amazingly real and even though it strays from the book, it's still fantastic.

I used to have the book but my friend borrowed it and never gave it back. She's had it for like a year now :(
I loved it though, such a good book. I have the movie too and just watched it last week. The only thing I didn't like about the movie was that they made up the running away from the hospital thing and that Lisa and Susanna being there when Daisy killed herself. Oh and how they left out when Susanna ran into Lisa years after...

I love this book. I saw the movie first, and was somewhat disappointed with the book, as I did not realize that so much of the movie was fiction. However, it was a good read, and I especially liked the charts, etc. that described Susanna's condition.

i like the book. i like her descriptions of her "disease", especially when she's talking about the patterns and checkered floors. but i loved the movie because of lisa, and she's pretty different in the book. i think they should have had the other lisa in the movie.

if angelina jolie and winona ryder weren't so god damn adorable i'd definately like the book more, but the movie is great too. the movie flows well, and is really captivating and dramatic, but the book is more personal.

I really like it. I saw the film and enjoyed it, then when I was seeing a councellor I was given a couple of books to read. Girl Interrupted was one of them and I thought it was pretty good.
The way she describes how she felt and what she went through was not only useful but it kept you interested. I wasn't disappointed, I love it.
It's not the same as the film though. I think the book really makes you understand what it's like (or as much as you can), whereas the film it feels more distant. Its like prismatism said, the book feels more personal.
Both are very good though :)
