10 Laps

    After reading a lot on the in the forum, and re-reading a lot about nudists, I realized that I am just more comfortable nude.

    So, yesterday at 4:30 AM i walked 1 mile barefoot to the local high school, stripped off my clothes, and put my running shoes and socks on. This felt very strange...

    My goal was to do 8 laps on the track running nude with my running shoes on. The track is pretty well lit with lights, so I had to keep an eye out..

    It went well. The feeling of the wind on my whole body was great. When I started to sweat, it evaporated very quickly. The whole time however I was nervious as I could have been caught.

    I made it 10 laps, two more than my goal! Sat in the bleachers to cool down after removing my shoes and sat back nude, watching the sunrise! I put my shirt and shorts on and walked the 1 mile home barefoot.

    Since my wife would not approve, I'm decided to be a closet nudist, nude when i can find time. And stop wearing socks and underwear, except for work and church.

    I run laps shirtless and barefoot at beaches and grass fields. It's very comfortable. Running in the rain feels good too. I wear shorts since these are public places. Sometimes after I run I go to a creek away from the public and walk barefoot and nude. It's relaxing to let water flow past you after running for a while.

    Some places like track fields at schools and even public parks are electronically monitored. They have video cameras with motion sensors that detect activity and alert security. It's just the type of culture we live in now. People have to be careful now about what they do, even though it appears that no one is around or watching.

    I don't understand why, if you're comfortable being naked, you are not comfortable being barefoot? Running barefoot is so much easier, you can carry energy from step to step much more efficiently, you can run faster and for much longer without running out of breath, your feet don't get hot and tired, or sweaty and smelly. If you're able to walk barefoot for a mile, surely you can cope with a bit of barefoot running. And even if you can't at first, there's only one way to acclimatise your feet to it.

    Myself I'm no nudist but I am very much a barefooter.

    I agree with Sax. If I were you, I'd do the running barefoot. And if you want to start out light, run just inside of the inside lane of the track. Isn't it clear and grassy there?

    One standard barefooter's complaint about many nudists is that they don't go truly "nude"! They wear shoes because even though their bare, tender skin can stand exposure to the sun, etc., they seem to feel that their feet are inadequate for walking around nudist colonies. It seems silly to me, too. If I were at a nudist colony, I'd be far sooner wearing some sort of clothing than any kind of footwear. Footwear would be the last thing I'd likely put on when leaving, too. But on the grounds, I'd never wear it.

    OK, I'll try the running inside the track next time and I'll try it barefoot. I had run before barefoot on the track and gotten terrible blisters, which then sidelined me for some time.

    And, yes, I do not feel totally nude in running shoes. It kind of feels funny actually...

    Today, no underwear or socks to work! Feels much more comfortable...
