my sony cyber shot 5 mp 3xoptical zoom broke. so now i'm lookings for a new one. i've look around the web but i'd like to hear different views. i need a thin camera, large view screen, black & white, sephia feature, fast shuter speed, manual flash, under $300.00, good low light shots without flash, video option, good point and shoot. well something like that i dont like to use flash so the low light is important to me well if anyone can help me out with this i would trully apreciate it. this is not for a hobbie by the way, this is what i do.
well there's TONS of choice but i i used to have a Konica Minolta DiMAGE X1, it worked pretty well, butttttttt i upgraded to a Nikon D70s ^_^ woot i'll look up more and get back to ya peace
I use a FujiFilm(Finepix) I like it, but then again, I'm not a professional photographer, I just photograph my artwork, it seems to make very nice clear pictures of art though, and it seems that the flash isn't a "necessary" part of the camera, if you know what I mean?
I have a Fugi also 5megapixel SLR with 3 lenses. I got a killer deal on ebay but its going bye bye soon to make way for a Canon SLR.
sorry, if you are a pro or wanting to be one, you KNOW that a new, $300 digi is NOT going to be good in low light. THe sepia can allow an override to the light. just my 2centavos on experiences with four film and four digitals shooting news, sports and concerts.
i don't think that the price is too important... i think my perspective is enough. i'm not working for a magazine, news paper or anything like that. one photographer told me once that its not the cam it's you. and i've even seen famous photographers that work with DISPOSABLES. other that use those $20.00 film cams. a digital worth 200 i'm sure will work well. anyway, i like sony cams, they have great features. my cyber shot was great, but it cost over 500, but i've seen other cyber shots with some of the features for 200, i think i'll go with that. i'm a point and shooter so i think its the best for me at this moment
I got a old Canon Ixus I bought a copple of years ago, its only 3'2 mp but it does all the work. The light is always shit on documentation of my paintings, if I take 3 pics I have 3 differend paintings lol, so that needs to be lifted up on photoshop to make it looking real again. Dont know if more people are having that problem with their cam. If you take a picture of for example a drawing there's always this grey shade over it. But on the other side I took all my holiday pictures in Greece and Egypth with it and its beautiful. Really depends where you need it for, if for documentation I would advice to ask people who are into that. (would like to know that too) for other things a 200$ cam will do the job. cheers
http://www.nikoncoolpix.com/main.html I have a preference for Nikon cameras and lenses. I also think Canons are nice. Have you looked at the Nikon Coolpixs?
