I'm coming to Chicago in April and am looking for some things to do...
I'm a dj and so am looking to hit some record shops while in town too.
I want to buy some Chi-town House and Techno tunes as well as some Ghetto (Booty) House.
Can anyone point me in the right direction..?

Advice on what clubs to go to would be appreciated too.

So do I take it from the lack of replies that the people of Chicago aren't actually that friendly..?

Haha, noooo...don't make that generalization about us. Are you from Amsterdam or just live there? Anyhow, I just ask because my dad is Dutch.

Are you looking for scenes DOWNTOWN downtown, or just scattered through chicago. I know most clubs for the younger generation feature mostly Euro-Techno, so if you're lookin for that kinda stuff..I can help you out a little.

Had a great time in Chicago - stayed @ W Hotel Lakeshore.
    Smartbar (N.Clark) was cool.
Wicker Park area is definately the place to be - Uprise Skateshop (Milwaukee Ave) was well worth a visit.
