I am looking for an acoustic guitar and want to know your opinions... So Gibson or Fender? Or is there another brand that you swear by?
those both are very good, but there are other great acoustics out there. my favorite has always been Taylor
True, Taylor's are good, but expensive as hell. Alvarez is my favorite, simply based on the beautiful sound of an old 12-string I acquired a couple months ago. I hope I find a 6-string of theirs soon, for just as cheap as I got the 12 ($125 for anybody who really needed to know).
I have an Alvarez acoustic - they are all very nice. Ive had a fender, it was good. Gibsons are great if they are older, and have a warm sound. I was very impressed with a friend who got a Seagull acoustic - one of the better acoustics Ive ever played. Whether he got the only good one I dont know, but it was very nice and made me want one!
its an opinion. gibson is just such a kickass company that you cant go wrong there. id go with gibson but its your choice
I have me a fender. But if you get one of those, check to make sure the action isn't too high on it, because mine was like a foot from the fretboard before I lowered it *Exagerration alert!* lol ~Layla
Well it does really depend on what you like after you have played them. You cant go wrong with a gison, though they can be pretty expensive. As far a Acoustics though Alverez, guild ( which is now a division of fender), and takamine are the best. I would suggest playng each type and see how you like the sound.
i beautifully inherited a 1958 Gibson Small Body Acoustic from my grandfather....it is gorgeous....my Music Theory Proffesor is in love with it and is going to do his next acoustic recording session with my guitar......
G&L, Heritage, Terry C. McInturf, Paul Reed Smith, Collings, Santa Cruz, Breedlove.. etc. But I have Fenders, a Gibson, a '73 Martin, and a Guild 12 string.
