Bullshit Rumor or Really True?

Hey yall,

A buddy told me that you can buy pills in the u.s. that are over the counter that contain small (and i mean small) traces of either codeine or hydrocodone in them.

Is this true? if it is, what's it called. Because if that's the case, even if the opiate to apap ratio is 1:1000, you can still probably do a cold water extacton right?

 

In some states codeine cough syrup is available OTC. BUT, most pharmacies do not carry it, NO "chain" pharmacies carry it (walmart, K mart, Osco ect.) Usually only privately owned, small pharmacies. In our area, there is a place, but they ONLY sell it to adults who have an account with the pharmacy, and they know they can trust. I buy about one or two bottles a year, for the purpose it was intended, coughs. It works better than any DXM crap you can get OTC. My kids' coughs do not respond to DXM, which IMO doesn't work for coughs anyway, our pediatrician has actually said "DXM is basically a usless medicine for coughing." But most pharmcies don't have the eggs to sell opiate medicines which really work, as so many pharmacists are self designated DEA agents. Most are more concerned with keeping drugs away from people, than letting people get relief.

You will have to present TWO forms of ID, sign a book, while being videotaped. You only get 4 oz of 10mg per 5cc syrup for a period of time. If you are looking for a buzz, this is not the way to go. But, if you are sick and can't get to a doctor, it's great.

AFAIK, you can't do a water extraction on a syrup. I use this for what it was meant for, so what do I know?

well thx for the info in all, but dxm isn't what i go for.. You see, like I don't do the whole illegal stuff.. I get pain pills prescribed but the thing is that for some reason in this state the pharmacies don't just pour em out to you like soda fountain machines.. You gotta wait a while to get your next presciption allowed.

 

There's only a few states (I know because mine is one of them) that sell tylenol#1 OTC, which has 8mg of codeine, and like 300mg of APAP, but as Maggie said, the big chains aren't gonna carry it, you'd have to find a privately owned pharamacy (good luck).

 

here you can get cheap generic stuff, the law is that the codeine must be matched with something else like paracetamol. theres up to 12:500 ratio , though most are 8:500 or so

 

If you can find the Tylenol #1, try a cold-water extract.
Get that damn codeine sepperated.

 

in the states and canada, also most of europe u can buy acetaminophen w/ codiene but it's lyk 500 mg of acetaminophen, 8 mg of codiene and then 200 mg of caffein... there a waste of tym... t3's used to b avaliable w/out a perscription but kno all codiene generic protects ((almost all of wish contain NSAI non steriod blah blah))... altho u can get perscribed codiene sulphate but stuff lyk that is usually only given to older individuals as there is less abuse potential... jst go say u hve a tooth ache for fuck sakes!!!!!! and anxiety while ur at it... get sum benzodiazepines

 

Ah, codeine. The opiate itch without that nasty high. Just get some pods. Or better yet grow them.
