Does anyone else agree that a low paying pathetic job like walmart should have the right to invade someone elses privacy like by requiring drug tests? I mean who the hell cares if you smoke pot it is none of walmarts business, and they dont pay enough to make u take a dumb drug test anyways. Walmart takes all the money made from their employees and lets it continuously compound interest in the bank. They make enough in profits that they should at least pay the workers an extra 2 dollars an hour yet they dont. But what is stupid is the fact that they require drug tests to work there.
yeah, thats one of the reasons i didnt end up working there (although u could easily cheat)... its inconstitutional in my opinion
Why should they? If I had more money I wouldn't give it to you if I didn't have to either. Although, I agree with you about the drug testing.
bigger business has to cover their ass by doing drug tests... yea.. its gay.. but hell if someone is coked out their gourd or strug out and fucks up majorly and ends up in the hospital or somethin.. they dont want lawsuits because some junkie hurt himself doing a simple task...
A job at wal-mart is not difficult at all, as much as you like to think it is. So my opinion on the wage is fine. As long as their paying minimum wage or over, Im cool with it. Do you realize Wal-Mart is providing jobs to thousands and thousands of people and giving them benefits and money? You disgust me by complaining about shit when in other countries they have no where near the economic strength as us. As for the drug tests... who gives a fuck, if you dont like it - dont work there. Good thing about living in america bud, you get to choose.
ya well one of the reasons many poor countries arent able to make an economic boom is because of Wal-Mart... they hire small businesses so that they only work for Wal-Mart, the business is super happy, selling all their crap in huge quantity to Wal-Mart... later theyll get a call from Wal-mart saying "lower your price 50% of were not buying from u anymore"... that small business already in crap not having other buyers has to accept and so on... Wal-Mart is just a fuckin nasty multinational... typically a la American
While a job in Wal-Mart, or another retail store is not difficult initially, the customers do help make it very difficult. If you do not believe me, go get a job in retail and then feel free to talk about easy job. If your cool with minimum wage, feel free to get a minimum wage paying job, then move out and find out how easily life is going for you. (Hypothetically for a adult trying to live independently, it is not so easy.) What good is having economic strength if said economic strength still leaves people in poverty suffering in America. To not complain about things going on here, are you acknowledging their exist? If you are oblivious to the negativity around you, you are basically in a situation where you are in a dark, messy room, stumbling around, unable to see and or hurting yourself. While living in America, one has more of a choice in a situation, however in some places that choice is minimal. (Small town.) Some professions also have very few job possibilities available in the first place .

Walmarts yearly sales associate wages = about 12,000-18,000 a year which is actually around of probably below the poverty level. If you make less than 18,000 something u are considered poor. It doesnt take an economics teacher to tell u that if u work at walmart u are around or below the poverty level. Wake up idiot. The big shots people pocket all the money and the people who actually do the work dont get paid anything. Typical in capitalist economies. Ya know the whole u are paid what u are worth isnt true at all. I mean i agree some idiot who just graduated highschool or didnt and works at walmart shouldnt get 100,000 a year but also someone who sits on their butt and plays computer games all day shouldnt either. A teacher who has a masters or phd should get paid alot but the truth is they dont. Generally speaking though the people who try to get ahead like with schooling should get paid more than some idiot who doesnt do shit and sits on their butt all day. ALOT OF aMERICANS ARE UNDEREDUCATED and dont have much college education. That is how it is with alot of jobs some moron just gets alot of money to not do anything. Teachers should get paid more bottom line.
