I posted this in the psychic thread earlier, and I thought that it might be more appropriate in this one. Well it goes like this... I have really begun to notice over these past few years, that weird things will happen.. Like sometimes when I am driving, and just before I reach a streetlight it will shut off... and then after I get a little ways past it it will just pop back on.... It was really strange one time, I was driving with one of my friends, and I dropped something on the floor and I told her to pull off so I could find it, well she pulled off into a vacant family dollar parking lot, and when I looked over the Family part of Family Dollar sign just shut off.. It was very strange... Like it's happened way too many times for it to just be freak coinsidences, and I am wondering what is causing it.. am I causing it? It's strange, like I will know, too, when it's going to happen.. it's just very weird.... Another time that comes to mind that was really very strange, was when I was going to my friends house, and I told my other friend (who was riding with me), that the streetlight would probably shut off when we got closer.. and what do you know.. the streetlight shut off.. and she said that was very odd... and we parked on the side of the street almost right under the streetlight, and when I walked away it just came right back on.. and I told my friend, that probably if I walked over to it it would shut off again.. and I did, and it shut off... There have also been tons of other times strange things like this have happened... Now maybe i'm just being very very paranoid.. but this has happened way too many times for it to be freak accidents... I don't know what it is.. Is it something to do with energy? or like I said earlier, am I causing it to happen with my mind...?? I hope this doesn't sound too freaky.. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it.. or knew what it was called.. or even how I might research it, because I frankly have no idea how to even begin searching for it....... Any help, or insight would be appreciated... Thanks.
it could be psychic kinetic energy transference...... that is you are somehow causing a circuit break at a specific time transfering it when you look at a non specific object........ eithe that or........ coincidence!
That happens to me too!! I think it must have something to do with energy between us and the light... it is just way too strange to be coincidence though. I'll try some research on the internet and see what comes up. ~Nova
Okay, that was quick! Apparently it is called street light interference, and it is just beginning to be studied as a possible psychic phenomenon or something. Do a search on it--there's lots of information!
I have seen this on a show where they examined this guy who could walk under streetlights and make them turn off. it was pretty cool but of course they were totally biased and made you think that he couldnt do it.
