Okay I'm gonna break away from the piercings and tattoo threads that seem to be the theme here and ask a totally different question but hair is modifiable and a apart of your body so I figured this is where it should go. What is your opinion of women with very very short hair? A little too weird or quite alright? Because I'm think of cutting it all off. My hair is about a foot and a half long and it struck me recently as a good idea to cut it all off. Not shaved head bald but really short. Anyone done this before? If you did, did you regret it or was it all good?
in my opinion, i dont like short hair on girls. just a personal preference. but, looking at it from a body modification point of view, every body should do what they need to, to feel as comfortable as possible in their bodies. if you feel like you should cut your hair short, i say go for it. but thats just my $0.02
I feel it really depends on the girl. I've seen girls that look amazing with uber short hair and girls that look really bad with it. I think girls with smaller faces and thinner necks tend to look best with the short look, but thats just been my observation. Anyway, its your body, so do what you like. I'd apply the tattoo 2 month rule. File the idea to shave your head away in the back of your mind, and if you still want to go for the big cut in 2 months, go for it. Peace
I have cut my hair really short and also shaved it before, and now I'm growing long for the first time since I was a kid. I'd say if you've never done it, do it. It's great to have hair that you don't have to worry about. You just shower and let it do it's thing, you don' have to brush it, it's never in your face. if it looks bad or you don't like it, it will grow back eventually.
Some people do look alright with short hair, but in my opinion, short hair on a girl is one of the most unsexy things ever. If you cut it and you like it, congratulations! If you don't, |'ll grow back, like everything else does.
on -some- women it looks absolutely freakin gorgeous gotta have the right kind of face shape for it to work (and like jester said, personality to pull it off too) on some women it looks atrocious. Depends on the face more than anything else, imho.
I am finally letting my hair grow out after years of having it short. I think the shortest I ever had it was 2 inches. I loved my short hair. Easy to maintain, and I think short hair is sexy as hell on a woman. If you don't like it, it will grow back.
I loved having super short hair. It was so easy to take care of. My only problem was I hated having to get it cut so often.
I wish I had the balls (or should I say, ovaries ) to shave my head. I've always said that if I were a guy I'd be bald. Just seems like it would be so much simpler.
I've had short hair for a few years and Im just letting it grow a little now(got no money to cut it) but having it short is awesome...its more fun and a helluva lot easier to gell and spike into funky dos
To me this appears very sound advice. Also you could try one of those computer programs, upload an image of yourself and see what you look like with very short hair. Some hair salons offer this service, but you can download programs like this off the net. I had short hair for many years, but for the last 15 years I've had it at least shoulder length. I used to have it half an inch all over with a rat's tail at the back. I loved that style, so carefree, never having to worry about getting rained on ... now I freak if I get rained on because my long hair goes all strandy and nasty! It's worth trying it once just to have the experience of it ... even if you don't like it you can grow it again. Mine grows really slowly, so I have to be totally sure before I change a style.
