making a fun hat! :-) and a question....

hehehe....i'm making the greatest hat! it's kind of like those felt dr. suess hats that you see around, only i'm crocheting it. it's hilarious! i'm making it in stripes of bright purple and yellow yarn. it's quite big. gonna be huge and floppy and lots of fun! i'm going to try to post a pic of it when i'm done. i've never posted pics before, so hopefully i can figure it out. which brings me to a question....does anyone know what format pictures have to be to be uploaded to the gallery? i tried posting one of my belts and it told me i had the wrong format.... :-( grrrrr i'm technologically ignorant and it drives me insane. please help. i want to be able to show off my super cool hat when i'm done! i asked in the user support forum, but so far i've received no help.

 

put it into jpeg then it will work. Maybe you need to shrink the pic a bit? Hehe I am technically challenged too! But my jpeg pictures have always shown up.

yea they have to be jpg's or maybe bmp's dunno bout the last one though. Tell ya what if u send the pics to me Gothic_llama@hotmail.com i'll scale em down to a size that will fit and post em for you. *hugs*

ok, thanks everyone! they were saved as jpgs when i tried to post them. i don't know what the problem is. i think i'll try again later on today and see if i can figure it out. i've been wanting to do gallery pics for a while! if i can't do it, i'll definitely try sending them to you. thank you so much!

 

You should grab a photobucket account babeh! I bet it'd work a lot easier, and theres no limitation on the amount of pics you can have

i got a photobucket account. it was really easy to put pictures on there! so now, can anyone tell me what i have to do to post a pic in a thread or in my signature once i've got the url for it? i tried some instructions that i found in another thread, but i guess i screwed it up, cause it didn't work. i feel kind of foolish, but i'd like to learn how to do this for myself. thanks!

 

yea its basically pretty simple. If you have a PC then -

Go to the picture you want right click on your buntton and go to properties. highlight the html code (url) and right click and click copy.
Then go into your message reply window and type in at the end of the url

if you have a mac.....then i have no idea :S
