....which makes three in the past couple of weeks! for the longest time, i felt like i was the only one (aka the weird one...KC being big on barbecue and all). i've now got a veg friend at school, work, and church...and one of them is even vegan. so yay for that!
I have veggie friends here too, finally! I know what it is like, Boogabaah, I really do. We lived in a place where we had very few friends, much less veggie friends. Then we moved to a bigger city and found some. Look at meetup.com and maybe start a vegetarian group. If there is already one, join it for free! Good luck!
are people ignorant or at least semi- unfriendly towards veggies around y`all? far too often, i feel like either the strange one or the freak show...and the stereotypes drive me insane
ooh thanks for the link! i read through the site yesterday, and found a bunch of new restaurants i`ll have to try. as far as current non- veg friends go...has anyone tried getting friends together and cooking vegetarian just for fun, to show them how easily it can be done?
one thanksgiving I was the head cook, so while mom HAD to have a carcass, it stayed in the kitchen and was not the centerpiece. My food was consumed first, and in greater quantities.
carcass...hehe. last night my family had BLT sandwiches; i had mine with veggie bacon. strange stuff...kinda reminded me of those fake meat dog treats! it wasn`t bad, though...
haven`t ever tried the dog treats...but i will admit to eating some dry dog food as a little kid. my family`s got two dogs and thus, a lot of both food and treats...
