Anyone heard the new single yet? I have to say I'm slightly disappointed...sounds alot like their work on Lateralus...
yes, I have heard it. it reminds me of the patient on lateralus. am I disappointed? NO! I think it fuckin rocks.
I'm really digging the new Tool. They just have that certain sound to them..I can't help but love them.
The new CD is still Tool, but a different side. Maynard is very quiet in much of the CD, but also gets really aggressive in Rosetta Stoned. All in all, Vicarious is a great single, but the album is the real treat. "10,000 Days in the fire is long enough"
I was going to see them in NY but I have to stay in Delaware for finals oh, and i forgot to say, The Pot has a fucking sick bass line and hopefully will be a single just so that everyone will get to hear the awesomeness from the radio.
Yeah, i fucking love this album. It has some KILLER heavy tracks, like rosetta stoned, the pot, jamba and vicarious the single, but fuck! It's so good! I can't wait to buy it on the 2nd, and artistofpeace, I'm jealous, I would love to see them again!
This is my first time seeing them, so don't be too jealous! haha. Although yeah, it's pretty fucking awesome. I can't wait...got pretty good seats, too (fucking hate seated shows though!).
The New CD is killer. i think it sounds alot like undertow if youve ever heard it. the lyrics are a little different. most of the time tool's lyrics are really out there and hard to understand, but these lyrics are really down to earth and you know exactly what maynard means in most of the songs, and they are still cool. the lyrics are one of the main reasons i love tool. they have never been around here though and i would love to see them live. a few people have told me they put on the best live show ever.
Ive seen them live 3 times. first time I was completely blown away (lateralus tour), and I didnt know what to expect. I was in awe. great visual and musical show. thats why I saw them 2 more times on that tour, when they came around again...... I wanted to see them on the small venue tour, but cant afford tickets, because of some stupid scalpers.... theyll be back around to play larger venues though, I guarantee that.
I used to be a tool fanatic. This effort doesn't excite me in the least however. I think maybe tool has run it's course.
