i see the id card idea has come around again. my own feelings seem to justified in light that a government: that brought in gst after saying "never ever" led australia into a war that had no legal or moral gound knowlingly allowed and facilitated bribes to the country that we were to go to war with. encourages and condones war crimes and crimes against humanity in a war zone of their own making - just so theres the off chance that the americans will allow the australians sell their wheat to a people who they made war upon. (this all sounds bizarre doesn't it? don't say anything though otherwise you'll be arrested and it'll disturb your mortgage repayments. i have to take my hat off to howard though for the evil genius of understanding that a whole nation could be cow towed into silence and slavery just so they can land themselves into massive debt - amazing.) cannot be trusted when it says privacy issues will be worked out. anyway this is just a cry into the wilderness everyones going to be busy little beavers when they have to weather the storm of raised interest rates and high oil prices - two things they have brought on themselves because they were just a little too greedy for their own good. this is why voting is so very important and history should have taught us well that a "liberal" or "labour" government cannot address critical issues. it is all very well creating a controllable social chaos in the name of "good" economic sense but you should always expect some "blow back". as the french say "c'est la vie"
This is kinda of topic but hopefully change will come, I really dislike my generation and all it stands for, but it wil be interesting to see who votes for what party in my electorate..........( i live in Rudocks electorate LOL). Cos i know tons who will vote for the greens
notice - the idea of freedom didn't garner much notice in the australia forum. big brother is always a talking point, i guess taking away free/cheap education has done wonders for the country. keep paying the ol mortgage it won't do you much good if you have no liberty, no freedom, no education, no way means to pay the mortgage (IR reform) and most importantly no sense of self or knowledge of the world about you. the lower middle class are quaking in their boots, i guess they just didn't get it. for whats it worth (this is my soliloquy) most people stumble in a somnabulistic manner they never ask the hard questions they never ask themselves if there is a better or easier way to do things. is this the right way? there is no self examination except in the mirror of the shopping mall clothes shop. no. civillisation slips overs and breaks its back on the cold floor of self interest. its like the tragic hero, a man of possibilities of possible greatness but with that one nagging voice that says maybe i should do this, maybe i should do that, maybe this is wrong but this notion is shrugged off. the crescendo before the fall, before the broken marriages and bankruptcies that are part of that heavenly boom and bust marring history but tonight tonight i must away......
Second that. I still accept taht we ahve more freedom than any other acounty in the world except maybe Canada and Scandenavia..............still I asked my friend the other day whether it bothered him that there were security cameras always watching him. Quote, "No because Im not doing anything wrong. I rest my case.
