Yes it is a real method. There is a strong possibility your bud will get moldy though, and it will be no good. I've tried weed that was earth cured, and it tastes like dirt, and otherwise doesn't look or taste that great, but it did have a hash-like taste as well, which was kinda pleasant in it's own right. I've heard people call it hash-weed for that reason. It did get me high though I don't think it was exceptional and maybe a bit different.
----------This's gotta be one of the worst things I'v seen peolpe sugest you do with your Herb. I highly recomend that no one burrys their Herb in the ground -and I dispute the claim that this somehow gets rid of clorafill.
