hey, okay, i know it seems early to be thinking about this, but i have to hand in my registration forms for next year, 11th grade, and the subjects i choose will determine the Ibs i take.
I was wondering what subjects are required to study psychiatry? I assume chemistry is. What about biology?
ANyone familiar with the Ib or psychiatry, you're advice is very much apprieciated!.

well i think IB's are like AP classes so i suggest you take as many as you can period. It doesn't matter if your just gonna study psychiatry the more honors and IB(AP) classes you take, the higher college admissions officers will think of you so if you wana get in to a good school take like 4 classes that are IB i took that many in 11th grade and am taking that many this year also (12th)

To study psychiatry, u need to first study a general degree in medicine (ie become a doctor), after which you need to specialise into psychiatry. So for medicine biology is the big one, and chemistry is quite handy too.
Alternatively you could do psychology, and then specialise in clinical psychology (which only approximately 5% of psychology graduates take up, the rest being involved in advertising etc).
    Hope that helps
    peace and love
