    slip your hands from mine...
    its easy.
its in the letting go that you grow.
    turn around and walk away...
    from my hands
    my arms
    my love.
    in search of...
    something you do not know.
you can not see that far.
    but oh...
the price your willing to pay is me.
so slip your hands from mine...
    its easy,
its in the letting go, that you grow.

That's nice. Every child needs such parenting to be whole. Though of course it applies not only to children, but to all of us, every day. Let us not hold each other so tightly, not even our beloved ones, lest we choke each other out.

welcome to the forums! lovely poem you've got... the theme seems at odds with what is often accepted, yet is indeed the truth. I also liked the flow going on here, and the repetition of the main line reiterates the theme, forcing it further into focus.

that right there is beautiful... thanks for sharing! :)
