i was going through some of the posts here today and i saw more than one post about "will not smoking for "x ammount" of days lower my tolerance?". seriously people its common sense, you stop doing anything you do alot for a couple days and you'll notice a difference. But i guess the thing i'm confused about is people saying that they don't get high anymore when they do these posts, and its not just them my friends have said they don't get as high anymore either. Now i seriously smoke alot of weed, and i smoke most of it with my friends, and i still get high, just as high as i did before. so am i the only one that has been smoking for a long time (about 7 yrs) who hasn't had this problem that seems to be so common?
It's just internet, my dick is bigger than yours type thing, either that or they smoke crap. But if it doesn't get you stoned why waste your money on it or waste other peoples by smoking it? I been smoking almost daily for many years and sure, it takes me more to get stoned than it did but it doesn't mean I can't get high...
Very rare is a person who does something for over five or more years and doesnt even think about stopping it or quitting. Very rare.
true, but that's not my point. these people are stopping for a few days/weeks becuase they don't think they are getting high enough or high at all in some cases (in that case they just need better weed) .
i think there is misinterpretation of what people are saying. its one thing to have the drug effect you and change the way you think and experience its another for these effects to engage you and make you feel euphoric. some people smoke weed just to get the euphoric feelings and these dont stay around for most people. regardless of the few here who it may or may not be the case for. and people DO stop smoking weed when it stops getting them high but its not like you just stop it. its a drug. most people have trouble getting teh habit of drugs out of their life. as well as this, while they might not getting the desired positive feelings from weed, the weed may still be relieving their mind of things like general anxiety, boredom, sensory dullness, and in the end using the drug as an emotional clutch. i know a hell of a lot of people who smoked during their teens and then stopped for whatever reason; now they look back at weed as a silly, pointless, dirty, or emotionally unstabling drug. this just happens to people. if it doesnt happen to you, good on ya. i still enjoy weed. but being burnt out is nothin the same as when you get proper stoned. because the effect of being stoned is largely determined by the structure of your mind which is in more of a structuring mode when sober and more of a running free mode when stoned. the more structures you build by being stoner, the more effect is gonna result when these run free. but if you just let your mind run free all the time, it can run out of places to go
