OMG I thought this movie blew majorly.

It was the most pointless movie ever..... It was more erotica than horror! I was SO disappointed in it.... Seriously, I say, if you haven't seen it already...don't. It's just a waste of time.

 

Yes becasue suicide and torture are hilarious.

It's apparent that the point of the movie totally went over your head. It really wasn't about the gore. It was about that disgusting part deep in a person'a soul that would actually sell out another person for any amount of money or adreneline rush. It's about what people would do to each other if there were no rules. It also made a strong political statement about the increasingly more obnoxious,embarrassing,and toxic behavior of American and other Western youths. The sheer arrogance and stupidity of young adults who think they can take advantage of seemingly free indulgences in foriegn countries.

I sat silent through the whole movie because I was able to see what the film-makers intended to portray. I wasn't the only one. I was in a packed theater. There were no innappropriate laughs, no walk-outs, not even any real screaming but people sat until the very last bit of end credits and then struck up discussion.

 

I can see how this movie might be construed to have a political statement, but I can also see how some people would go just for titillation and miss the point. What are they saying about this movie in Slovakia?

 

over all would you guys say the movie is worth seing? i watched the trailer and it reminded me of saw... the plot sounds sick though. is it just another horror film to lump in with the rest?

 

ive seen hostel and the only reason people relate it to saw is cuz of the ending- yeh alright the last 30min is good but the rest of it is just a dumb adventure- waste of time

It's amazing how many people enjoy laughing at depictions of torture and pain.

It was INSANITY , but I do have to admit...I was in Wales when I saw it & when we left the Cinema there were these strangely dressed guys outside & it creeped me out a bit...hehe.

I thought it was good. The part where he sliced open that guy's ankle was insane. Made me cringe and I enjoyed the whole thing. I though the acting was pretty good too cuz it would be pretty hard to act like you were being tortured.

I rented this movie the other day and honestly I expected it to have a little more gore based on the trailer. The torturing was really quick which doesn't give you long to cringe. It was an alright movie though. I really liked the kid gang, Haha.

 

hostel was complete shit. i am a pervert and im saying even with all the tits and ass, the movie SUCKED COCK. anyone who wants to watch the NASTINESS going on in that movie is a fucking lunatic and should be locked up. i didnt even want to watch it anymore but was afraid my gf would call me a pussy if i didnt "man" through it. the kid gang...the insane guy wanting to know if he should do it slow or fast...they were funny. the revenge throat slash was good just because it was the only part of the movie that made you feel good. the bad guy got fucked! hoorah! SERIOUSLY PEOPLE, DONT WATCH THIS MOVIE. IT WILL MAKE YOU LESS HUMAN!

 

The movie wasn't really that good and the concept of it was fuckin sick

 

i heard people were throwing up in the aisles of the movie theatre bc of all the gore.

 

I never thought it was all that gory.

 

A sequel is in the works, Eli Roth will direct again, Jay Hernadez will be returning, and I hear the main 3 charecters will be female, and less fucking around, more killing.

Either way, itll probobly still suck.

 

Ya and we're suppose to learn more of the "organization". Maybe the sequel will be better than the first. Get right into the sickness of it at the beginning instead of the ending

 

The first one was full of unrealistic, humerous brutality, i want balls out exploitive horror.
