I love drum and bass, and picking a favorite would be next to impossible... unfortunately a lot of dnb has a short shelf life, so favorite's are always in transition... of old, they'd include just about everything by Kemal, especially Messiah, Gene Sequence, and Fucking Hostile. Other favorites would have to be: Imagination (the orginal) by Dom and Roland Ladies of Spain by EIB (or Bad Company when they used to go by that) Love is Not a Game by J-Magic (Dillinja's Rmx) some B-side I had with an unlicensed remix of Darth Vador's March from Star Wars Tron (remix) by Panacea Automatic Rewind (torture) by Panacea Fallin by Raiden You can't tell cos you can't see (or something like that) by Paradox and Seba I could literally go on forever, I've been in the dnb scene for a long, long time now
you good old boy. ive been searching 4 ages for someone else who likes d&b. im a massive fan of dj hype and pendulum but roni size is the king of d&b though!!!!
New Forms was probably the first dnb cd I ever bought... I'd been to the parties but never new you could find the music in a cd store... haha... I've been gung-ho dnb ever since... spun records for about five years before i got into producing, and now I like blending dnb elements into rock/postpunk type music. there's a huge dnb scene in my city... every time the uk guys come here to play they're like wtf... I'm in Raleigh??? haha
None of the straight out drum and bass stuff that I've done is up on the web. There is one song online that's more of a fusion between post-rock and dnb... it's at www.mixposure.com/muse-chaser/music and it's song #4, "Attack of Mall Chick Hair Doo's" and it's full length at almost full quality... hope you got good subs
My favourite DnB tunes EVER are: Papua New Guinea [High Contrast vs FSOL] Return of Forever [High Contrast] The Grin [Mr psyche] anything by Breakage anything by LTJ Bukem
oh dear..generic boring unintelligent stuff, if I'm perfectly honest. They had their moments, nowadays they're extremely disappointing. Anything that makes breakbeat kaos etc is a bit generic though.
I am massively into the U.K.'s underground D'n'B scene. Pendulum - very good artists. I've been to a few Pendulum raves ('Another Planet', 'Fasten Your Seatbelt' and 'Hold Your Colour - The Bipolar Remix' being outstanding favourites; Also into the following D'n'B artists - DJ Hype, The Logistics, Roni Size, DJ Zinc, Dope Skillz, Bulletproof, Breakbeat Era, Calibre, Distorted Minds, DJ Monk, DJ Wildchild, Drumsound, EZ Rollers, Hyper on Experience, Limewax, Mindscape, Moving Fusion, Nu:tone, Quadra, Shroombab, Skibadee, Simon 'Bassline' Smith, Squarepusher, Sub Focus; But Roni Size is not the King of D'n'B:- If any artist deserves that's credibility it's Drumsound and Bassline Smith!!! 'Killa DJ' and 'The Oddyssey' are 2 examples of justification!
Quadra are psytrance, I'm sure of it, saw them at the Psytrance stage in Odaiba, Tokyo at Nagisa Festival...unless there's 2 Quadras?
oh man i love drum and bass... i've heard a bunch of the stuff that's been listed here already...and i'm totally gonna have to check out all the djs listed i haven't heard before aww love
Generically speaking, Pendulum aren't even true Drum 'n' Bass... There's a lot of flowing music in Pendulum's work.
